Rev. Andy Lewis

Rev. Andy LewisSenior Pastor

Andy was reared in Plano, TX, and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.A. in the Plan II Honors Program in 1995.  While at UT, Andy studied to become a physician, played setter on the University Men's Volleyball team, and long-distance dated his high school sweetheart, who attended Texas A&M in College Station.  As a college senior, Andy experienced a profound renewal of his Christian faith and responded to God's call to focus on healing souls rather than bodies.

For the last 15 years or so, Andy has enjoyed serving United Methodist churches across north Texas.  Along the way, he completed his Master of Divinity degree from SMU, started a family with his wife Sondra (yes, the high school sweetheart), and planted a new United Methodist congregation in McKinney.

Andy has a passion for realizing Holy Covenant’s newly developed Vision – a compelling, God-given direction for the church’s ministry over the next 3-5 year. The Vision is to “connect with our neighbors, care for our earth, and find transformation through the love of Christ.”

Andy lives in Carrollton with his family; Sondra, Nathan, Jared, and Sara Jessica.

Jana Jones

Jana JonesChildren's Minister

Jana joined the staff of Holy Covenant in November of 2003.  She is originally from Carlsbad, New Mexico, where she grew up in the Methodist church.  She graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Business and Accounting.  During college, she was a member of the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation and served on their leadership team.  Jana is also involved in the Emmaus community.  She was a member of the New Mexico Southeastern Region Chrysalis Board for three years.  Chrysalis is a youth version of the Walk to Emmaus.  In addition to these activities, Jana was the co-leader of a girls' youth group for three years at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas.

Jana enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, who is the Director of Recreational Ministries at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano.  She also likes to read, play golf, and is a fan of Texas Tech Red Raider football.

Jana's desire for Children's Ministries is to bring kids into a fun environment where they can develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She hopes that the people of Holy Covenant will watch children as they worship, listen as they pray, and learn as they speak to our hearts.

Georgia Harrison

Georgia HarrisonYouth Minister

Georgia Harrison joined the staff of Holy Covenant in January 2008.  Georgia is currently in school full-time.  She is working on a MDiv at Perkins School of Theology at SMU with a Certification in Urban Ministry, planning to finish in May, 2009.  She will be working on her internship beginning in June, 2008 at Holy Covenant! For 5 years, Georgia was the Youth Minister for Mission at First United Methodist Church in Richardson, TX.  She led the youth on 6 mission trips each year and organized local service projects for them also. Georgia has been involved in Youth Ministry for over 15 years.  She has directed Junior High Summer camp at Bridgeport Camp for the past 4 years.  She is also the Coordinator for CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministry).

Before going into church work, she worked in software development for 20+ years in the Dallas area. Georgia has a BS in Math from Mississippi College and an MS in Math from Clemson University (although she has never actually used any higher level math in any of her jobs!).

She has been married to Charles Harrison for 17 years. He is the Executive Director of The Center for Wesleyan Renewal and is the youth minister at Greenland Hills UMC in Dallas.  They have two children, Ricky 10th grade, and Marisa 6th grade.

Georgia loves working with youth because they always offer her a new perspective, a fresh outlook on things.  Their energy and excitement are catching, which keeps her energized.  She has one message for the youth and you will probably hear it, in some form, every time she gives a message: God loves you and there is nothing you can do about it!
