Mission Trip was amazing. The way we were all able to come home after each day and realized that we probably made some one really happy was incredible. We painted, scraped, cleaned and all of that fun stuff and one of the days we even cleaned up a flood in one of the churches. Yes, it was hard work but we made people happy. We were able to spread God’s words with our actions and I loved it. The thing that was cool to see was that everyone was willing to help most of the time. The first few days we worked on a house that was owned by a woman with leukemia. We painted her house and scraped the window sills. It was a very cute little house that need a little bit of work. We fixed that little bit of work and it looks great, but too bad we couldn’t finish. That rain just had to stop us. On Thursday we went up to Oak Clif United Methodist church and helped clean the stairwell. While we were there, it started to flood. It was like around 400 coffee jugs of water. (WOW) It was crazy. That was the last day of work for us youth. After this trip, I had more respect for what I had and cherished it more. I tried to stop putting all my attention on what I didn’t have, but on what I did have. This trip was very eye- opening to me and I wouldn’t have changed it. Toni Pepper
