Luke 4:18-19 18‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, 19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.’
We have a covenantal relationship with Nancy Boye, our missionary in Costa Rica. She assists families to become self-sufficient through the development of cottage industries.
Nancy Boye is a United Methodist missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries currently serving in San Jose, Costa Rica as a member of the Coordinating Team of the Women's Development Network. The Women's Development Newwork provides a way for grassroots women's productive groups throughout Latin America to help themselves and each other develop economically. The Network helps women overcome their isolation so they can get access to ideas, funding, and resources so the can improve their quality of life. The newsletters provided by the network provides practical information that can help improve sales, show how to get loans, and build business plans. Opportunities for collaboration between groups are published in the newsletters. The Network connects women so they can share what they are doing and find ways to help themselves and each other.
