On March 19. 2008, Holy Covenant UMC served as a host location for the Dallas Dinner Table.  Members of the Advocates for Justice and Peace committee provided the meal and served more than 20 participants.  The Dallas Dinner Table provides an opportunity to hear and to share diverse perspectives about the impact of race on the daily lives of Dallas/Metroplex residents.  The dinners are designed to:  Encourage communication about race relations and the impact of ethnicity on relationships; Educate participants about perspectives held by others related to race relations; Empower citizens to develop relationships with people from a variety of racial/ethnic groups.
