Part-Time Youth Minister

Holy Covenant UMC in Carrollton is seeking a person to join a dedicated team of youth and adult volunteers and to lead an established Youth Ministry program.

Holy Covenant UMC is a 500 member congregation with a unique emphasis on inclusiveness for all people and hands on mission to our local community. Please check out our website (www.hcumc.org) before applying.

The focus of this part-time Youth Minister position will be to establish healthy relationships with the youth, through which he or she can offer mentoring and support and can help the youth live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Under his or her leadership, we expect that the Youth Ministry program will be attractive and compelling to the youth and that it will grow both in size and in depth. The Youth Minister will work with youth and adult leaders to plan, organize, and implement various events, fund raisers, retreats and mission trips.

The hours for this part-time position will be flexible, but the time demands will be greater in the summer months.

CareerCare is a free, weekly support group helping those who are out of work or "mis-employed" and seeking a career change. Career Care provides comprehensive support:
• job postings
• networking to build job leads/contacts, including linked in group
• speakers teaching search skills (resumé, interviewing, etc.)
• free, volunteer coaches to assist one-on-one with resumés, etc.
• career direction: Career-Direct Assessment Test
• private budget/debt counseling at no charge
No pre-registration is necessary to attend. First-time visitors should come at 6:40 p.m. to register. We meet every Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Room 127. Park on the East side of the campus, corner of W. Plano Pkwy and Mira Vista street, in the upper North parking lot, and enter the north doors. Room 127 is down the hall. Come visit our Monday Night Support Group!

New Spouse Support Group
This new support group for spouses of the unemployed teaches coping skills to manage stress and relationships. FREE. Both spouses are welcome to attend. Wednesday, March 4, 6:30-8:00 p.m. room 127. Open to the community. Park in Mira Vista street lot. Contact bbrewer@standrewumc.org, 214-291-8082.
