Go paperless!
Our church offers electronic giving, which allows you to make donations on a scheduled, automatic basis.  If you are writing checks or donating a giving envelope every week, you will especially appreciate electronic giving.  It is convenient for you and provides much-needed donation consistency for our church.
 

To set up electronic contributions, please complete an authorization form found in the narthex and return it to the church office.
 

Electronic contributions for pre-authorized giving (pledges or capital fund contributions) can be made using any of the following payment method:

·Checking Account
·Savings Account
·Debit Card

Electronic contributions for one-time events or donations (i.e. auction or payment for youth trips) can be made using any of the above methods or by credit card.

Please keep your pledge for your 2010 donations--we're counting on you!  If you're not sure of your current balance, give bookkeeper Carol Jones a call in the church office.  And if you need to adjust your pledge, please let us know so we can adjust the budget accordingly.  Many thanks!

Church members or other donors may donate stock directly to the church, and may be able to avoid or reduce capital gains taxes.  The church will sell the stock with a Texas Methodist Foundation stock broker and the proceeds of the stock sale will be deposited directly in our church accounts.  The donor may have a larger tax deduction based on the total amount of the charitable contribution.

Please follow these steps set up by Holy Covenant to donate stock to the church:
• Complete the second page of the document with your information
• Print the second page
• Sign it
• Send or fax a copy to your Stock Broker
• Send or email a copy to Sara Beltran at Texas Methodist Foundation (sbeltran@tmf-fdn.org)
• When TMF receives the stock from the transfer they will sell it as soon as possible (usually same day).
• Once the stock is sold, TMF will transfer the money into Holy Covenant’s accounts and notify the church of the details of the sale via email.
• Holy Covenant’s bookkeeper will forward the sale information back to you and ask for instructions on how you wish the funds to be applied within Holy Covenant.

Please be aware that there will be a small $8.00 fee for the stock sales transaction that TMF initiates.  This will be withheld from the sales proceeds.  Please check with your stock broker/brokerage to ask if there is a fee to donate the stock to TMF.

Help HCUMC While Doing Your Weekly Shopping

Holy Covenant United Methodist Church each year pays apportionments to the North Texas Conference as our portion of Global Ministries, District Superintendent’s salary, Church Camps, Pensions, Conference Administration, and other mission and administrative costs.  Each year we hold an auction to help pay these apportionments.  The auction pays for a large portion of this, and the church pays the balance from the regular budget offerings.  There is an additional way to help us pay the apportionments and it won’t cost anything.  It is so easy.  I am asking for your assistance in helping our church, with this relatively simple process.

Kroger: Many of you have the Kroger Share card for our church.  As of May, this programs has been discontinued.   Kroger has a new program called:  “Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program” .  Here is the letter that explains the new program and the bar code number for Holy Covenant.  You simply hand the letter to the cashier upon check out along with your Kroger Plus Card and you are enrolled for the calendar year of May 2008 to April 2009.

Tom Thumb: If you do not already have a “Reward” card, please fill out this application and turn it in at the Tom Thumb Courtesy Booth. There are extra blank forms in the narthex.  If you already have a Reward card,  to add our church please fill out the Good Neighbor Program form and return it to the Tom Thumb Courtesy Booth. Our charity code number is #1407.  I know some of you already have schools or other organizations that you are helping with on these cards.  There are spaces on the application for you can choose up to three organizations that you want to support.  Please sign up and thank you!!
