Isaiah 40:31  But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Crop Walk 2008 is set for September 27

 Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) Hunger Walks help to support the overall ministry of Church World Service, especially the grassroots, hunger-fighting development efforst of partner agencies in some 80 countries.  In addition, each local CROP Hunger Walk can choose to return up to 25% of the funds it raises to local hunger-fighting programs.

Holy Covenant had an outstanding turnout for the 2007 Crop Walk in September of this year.  See photos from the event below:

Karate Camp

Ephesians 6:10   Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.


HCUMC's 2nd Annual Free Karate Camp is scheduled!
Date: August 9
Start Time:  11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Please come join us for our 2nd Annual Free Karate Camp at Holy Covenant UMC.

Snack lunch provided for campers and families.

We will be in the gym for a Karate Demo, Stranger Danger, Games and instructions provided by SideKicks Martial Arts.

Bishop's Africa University Initiative
In I Corinthians 3:6, Paul writes: I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. (NRSV) "Africa University has been built (planted), and I am hoping and praying that we, the North Texas Conference, will be Apollos, by watering the plant, but always mindful that it is God who give the growth."
