The literacy component of Project Transformation is an exciting opportunity for you to interact with children in a one-to-one setting. Reading volunteers listen to each child read for 30 minutes. After reading, the pair engages in discussion and comprehension activities about the story.

Holy Covenant will provide volunteers for the reading component on July 21-24, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill UMC, Farmers Branch, TX. All volunteers 18 and older must complete a background check. Forms are available in the church office from Elise Odell. Also the Ministry Safe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training is required. Babysitting is available at Holy Covenant by reservation.
