GOSPEL FEST!

Thank You!!

 

Many thanks to Gary Feltner and Bob Michael for an enjoyable evening of gospel music.  Those that attended were greatly blessed (and highly favored πŸ™‚  The list of those to thank include Ryan Baumgardner, Stewart Odell, Jonathan Kaan, Donna Roberts and all that participated by attending, performing, baking, etc.  We collected just enough to pay the drummer and guitar player. Thanks for your donations. Both players were fantastic and grace filled musicians. Thanks for supporting the music ministry.

 

Adult Choir Workday – October 17, 9 to Noon.  NEW CHOIR MEMBERS should come to this rehearsal.  Please join us for Christmas music!

*October 11 – Children’s Sabbath

Reminder – Afternoon Blessing of the Animals  4:00 pm  No Youth Choir or Bells

*October 18 – No adult choir anthem.  Joyful Noise and Covenant Carillons to play both services.

*October 25 – Reformation Sunday   Youth Ringers and Singers at both services.  Adult choir anthem “God is My Refuge” at 11:00

*November 1 – All Saints Day  (no Communion)

*November 8 – Communion Sunday

*November 15 – Music Appreciation Sunday   Covenant Carillons, Children and Adult Choir

*November 22 – Christ the King Sunday

Kids Choir – Grades 1-5 

 

Parents are needed to rotate attendance at rehearsals. Let them know if you are available to be an adult presence at rehearsal when needed.

 

Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:30 pm upstairs in the Education Building.

No registration required.  Just come! 

 

We have begun to include chime ringing as a part of this experience!

This Wednesday, October 7, we will begin work on our Christmas Cantata “Child of Hope” by Mark Hayes.

We sing at 11:00 worship services on a regular basis and at the 8:30 service, once a month.  Debbie is looking for solos and small groups to present music at one or both services.

#1  Children’s Chime Choir – Grade 1-5 as a part of children’s choir rehearsals on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm in Room 207

#2  Youth Handbell Choir – grades 6-12 4:00 pm, Sundays

#3 Joyful Noise Handbell Choir – Beginning and Intermediate Ringers. Rehearsing Sundays at 2:00 pm  [email protected]

#4 Covenant Carillons – Intermediate to Advanced Handbell Choir – Debbie Chapman, director.  There are two openings in this group.

 

Handbell ringing requires a commitment to regular rehearsals.
