Hello Church!

Advent is a busy time for Holy Covenant. Just look at this week’s events:

-Thursday, December 3 at 7 pm, Adult Choir at Community Nativity ExhibitThe choir will sing at the Community Nativity Celebration at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 4000 Nazarene Dr. in Carrollton. They have hundreds of nativity sets to see while listening to sacred Christmas music. Come support our choir and get into the spirit of Christmas! Our own Gary Feltner will also be performing Friday, December 4 at 7 pm and always appreciates seeing friendly HCUMC faces.

-Friday, December 4 at 10 am, Decorate the SanctuaryEveryone is invited to join us as we decorate the church for Advent. We will meet in the sanctuary to put up the Christmas tree and hang wreaths and banners.

-Saturday, December 5 at 2 pm, Adult Choir singing in Downtown CarrolltonThe choir will sing carols in Downtown Carrollton where children can pose for photos with Santa.

-Sunday, December 6 at 9:45 am, Children’s Christmas Program, Star Trip: Our Faith Awakens The Magi were on a quest – following a star to find the child king foretold in prophecy. Along their journey, they encountered both the dark and the light, both good and bad. In the end they met Jesus, the true star of their trip, and light of the world.

Join the children’s choir in the sanctuary as they share this exciting story!

-Sunday, December 6 at 12:15 pm, Children Decorate Chrismons – Following 11:00 worship, come to the Covenant Center to make decorations for our Chrismon tree.
