Good afternoon,

Good news from Carol Sparks’ surgery.  She is resting at home.  Surgery went well.  We are waiting this week to hear the pathology report.  This will tell us about future treatments.

Our music ministry and church lost an important member this past week.  Richard (Dick) Herrick had a massive heart attack on Thursday, Sept. 22.  Many of us had just seen him at bell practice the night before.  Our prayers and hearts go out to Georgia, Jennifer and Ryan Baumgardner, Amy and Eric. We also are in prayer for their son Jeff and his family.  The service will be on October 8th at 2:00 pm. If you want to help with a small reception or meal following the service, email [email protected] and she will notify the team that is working on this.

Ringers are needed for the October 8th service for Dick.  There are a couple of positions open.  If you can help us for this special bell anthem “Creation Will Be At Peace,” contact Debbie. We will have a special rehearsal on Wednesday at 7:00 pm on Sept. 28 and October 5, following regular bell rehearsal at 6:30 pm.

Youth musicians will not perform on October 2nd after all (see block below for more info).

Our IMPACT sermon series is off and running.  This coming Sunday, Jeff Bouis, Conference Lay Leader will bring the message.  The Adult Choir will sing the Prelude at both services this week.

“Praise His Holy Name.”

Many blessings,

Debbie

Instrumentalists!

It is time to get that instrument out of the closet!

What if we had enough players to play in worship once a month!  Let Debbie hear from you! [email protected]

Drummer needed for drum kit or African drums such as djembe, congas, etc.  There are many anthems and hymns that need that extra touch that only a drum can give.  Do you play or know someone who does?  Please let Debbie know.

Many are allergic to perfume and lotions.  Keep that in mind for rehearsals and Sunday mornings.
