Hello Church!

 

The African University choir and the Christ’s Foundry Children’s Choir will perform a Benefit Concert this Thursday, February 4th @ 7 pm at Christ’s Foundry. The proceeds will fund a one year scholarship for Africa University. For more information, go to www.christsfoundry.org.

 

This Sunday, February 7, the Advocates for Peace & Justice will host a panel discussion on Who is Our Neighbor? Finding God in the Immigrant at 9:45 am in the sanctuary.

 

The New Beginnings class will begin studying the last 5 books of the Bible Sunday, February 7 at 9:45 am in Room 213. Be part of this lively and growing class. They usually have something to eat; they always study God’s Word.

–All men are invited to a Church Men’s Social on Tuesday, February 9 from 7 to 9 pm at Dante Paa’s home. Please sign up in the narthex where you will find the street address.

 

– Please make plans to begin the season of Lent at our Ash Wednesday Worship, February 10th at 7 pm including the imposition of ashes.

 

-Holy Covenant will host a Parents’ Night Out on Friday, February 12th from 6 to 9 pm. The cost is $6 per child and you can reserve a place for your child at hcumc.org.

 

-The youth will leave for Mid-Winter Retreat in the afternoon of Friday, February 12th and return the afternoon of Sunday, February 14th.
