5/9 – 5/15/16

Flames

Hello Church,

The monthly LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship Together) meeting will be Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 pm at Movalynn McKee’s home. Go to www.hcumc.org for more information. Bring a snack or covered dish to share. We’ll enjoy food, fellowship and a short devotional. If you do not have time to prepare a dish, please join us anyway – we want you with us! Come join us for this time of fellowship!

Moms Demand Action and Advocates for Justice and Peace will present the Be SMART Program on gun safety Thursday, May 12 at 7pm in the youth room (201-205). Please register at www.hcumc.org or in the narthex. Childcare is available.

This Saturday, May 14 from 9am – 3pm, please join us in helping our neighbors in the community for Metrocrest Services Work Day. Possible projects will include minor home repairs, landscape work, simple paint jobs, trimming, yard work, etc. at the home of a Carrollton resident, with final details to be sent a later date. We are asking for separate volunteers for work at the project site as well as volunteers for food preparation. Please contact John Mayer [email protected] if you have not yet signed up.

We are looking for sellable, unbroken items that you may not need, want, or have the space to store any longer: items including furniture and accessories, tools, clothing, kitchen gadgets, knick-knacks, decorations, books, etc. Items that cannot be accepted include: CRT monitors and TVs (non-flat screen), computers and printers, mattress/box springs, dirty or stained items, non-working items, hazardous materials/paint, and tires.

This year, in conjunction with the Junktique, Holy Covenant will host a Community Block Party. You won’t want to miss the bounce house, face painting, games, food and fun! Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Walking tacos, drinks and dessert will be provided.
