“Creating IMPACT for a Deeply Satisfying Life” sermon series is designed to lead us into prioritizing our goals and use the tools we already have to enjoy a life experience that is deeply satisfying for us while impacting the lives of others.

Through some of the best preachers in the North Texas Conference, we are going to open ourselves to a new way of being in our lives so that each and every one of us has the opportunity to feel satisfied and whole.

Each week we will consider what it means to use the lessons of Christ to direct and order our lives today. We will move beyond hearing and into action!

IDENTITY – Rev. Carol Sparks, September 18

MONEY – Rev. Dr. Larry George, September 25

POWER – Jeff Bouis, October 2

ATTITUDE – Rev. Mike Baughman, October 9

Voter Registration

Advocates for Justice & Peace will be available for assistance at the “Service Station” on Sunday, October 2nd to assist anyone who might have questions about voter registration. Voter registration cards will be made available for all who would like to mail in their registrations in time to make the October 11th deadline.   For residents of Dallas County and Denton County, we will have a volunteer deputy registrar who can take the registration for delivery to the respective county registrar.

Our next general election date is November 8th.

The final date for voter registration is October 11th.

To be eligible to vote in Texas, a person must be:

-A U.S. Citizen

-A resident of the Texas county in which an application is made

-At least 18 years old on election day

-Not finally convicted of a felony, or if so convicted must have fully discharged the sentence or been pardoned

-Not mentally incapacitated

Please check your voter registration status at the following Texas Secretary of State website: www.sos.state.tx.us

This opening page of the SOS site allows a person to verify current registration by providing 1: Voter I.D.#, or 2: Drivers license # and Date of Birth, or 3: Name, County, and Date of Birth.

We encourage all to exercise their right to vote!
