Talent Show Report: What a wonderful night of talent! from the singing, playing instruments and dancing to the hula hoop routine, it was an amazing night. About $700 was raised for Music Ministries and the winner by way of the most donations, was our youth choir and actors doing a scene directed and created by Jon Blackburn Mays. My thanks to all that supported this effort in front of and behind the scenes!
Wednesday night is our Annual Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm. Covenant Carillons will rehearse promptly at 6:30 pm and the Wesleyan Choir promptly at 6:45 pm. Dress is church clothes. The adult choir will rehearse following the service.
Adults are learning the Robert Ray, Gospel Mass to be performed on Palm Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00. It is not too late to join us as we learn this wonderful work. Wednesdays at 7:30 pm
Youth are taking a break from rehearsals until April 2nd when we will rehearse music for Palm Sunday (April 9). Youth Choir tour is canceled for 2017.
Children’s choirs will rehearse on March 5 at the normal time. All children will not rehearse on March 12 and only Music Machine will rehearse on March 19.
Fine Arts Week has been canceled in its current form. Stay tuned for a revised version and a new date!
Re-allocation of Space: Work has begun to move music storage, cherub choir rehearsal space, piano lessons, worship supplies, altar decor and sound equipment to the current Senior Pastor’s office and Front office. It will be a while before all of this is settled. Thanks for your patience………..
Sunday’s adult anthem is: Lonesome Valley at 11:00.
