Greetings!

Thanks to the band on Sunday!  I hope you enjoyed it.  Rob Arruda has agreed to playing here about once a month, so we hope to do more music with drums!  Thanks Jonathan for organizing the group and to all that helped lead!

Youth (grades 6-12)

Here is the schedule for Feb 5 and 12:  2:15 to 2:30, bells; 2:30 to 3:00 Talent Show; 3:00-3:15 Palm Sunday Anthem – bring your instrument!

Monday Bells:  We need 3 more ringers to complete our group but we are learning fast and having fun.  Come join us on Monday at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary.  We will rehearse on Feb. 6 and 13 and are canceled on Feb. 19.  If you need a recommendation as to how easy and fun it is, ask Julie, Jacque, Teresa or Michelle!

four_kids_heads.jpgChildren are leading worship on Children’s Sabbath on February 5th.  Both pre-school and elementary choirs will sing that day.  Pre-schoolers are only at the 11:00 service.

The adult choir anthem on Feb. 5 is “Walk in the Light”  at 11:00 only.

Talent Show with the Chili Cook-off. Mark your calendars for February 25!  See the block below for more information and sign up to cook and/or perform.

Adults are learning the Robert Ray, Gospel Mass to be performed on Palm Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00. It is time to join us as we learn this wonderful work.

Fine Arts Week for Elementary Kids is June 19-23.  Co-Director needed!  Please consider helping with this exciting camp  I am planning to do it in the morning again, 9 to Noon.

For your prayer time: (from Matt. 5)

God’s light is all around us…calling us forward, warming us…beckoning us into God’s kingdom. Its demands are justice and mercy, compassion and grace.  God’s light is all around us… calling us forward, warming us…leading us home.  (B.J. Beu)

Have a blessed week!

YOUTH, Grades 6-12!

Hello everyone!

Here is the calendar for Spring 2017.   Notice a couple of updates. If you know you will be out of town or there is a scout camp out, let me know so I can plan accordingly.

I have decided that we will not have a choir tour this summer.  This isn’t an easy decision for me but I think it is the right one given the time it takes to plan a trip and our small numbers.  I am not giving up on our kids though.  You won’t want to miss their talent show number.  It is AMAZING!!!  Plan to come on Feb. 25 at 6:30 pm (chili at 5:00!)

The youth will perform on Palm Sunday, April 9.  They will either play an instrument or ring bells at 8:30 and 11:00 that day.
