This week, Holy Covenant’s Preschool is offering and Open House. Contact ECDP Director Beth McClure [email protected] to tour the school Monday through Thursday this week between 9 and 11 am and bring your child to enjoy the Under the Sea activities. Come check it out!
Holy Covenant is hosting a Parents’ Night Out Friday, January 27th from
6 to 9 pm in the Covenant Center for Ages Infant – 5th Grade. Reservations are required by noon on Wednesday, January 25th! Reserve a place for your child at www.hcumc.org. You may drop off and pick up children anytime during the designated hours. The cost is $6 per child; $15 max per same family.
We will provide breakfast for the homeless at the Austin Street shelter at 5 am on Sunday, January 29th All are welcome to travel to Austin Street Sunday morning at 4:15 am from Holy Covenant. We’ll carpool to Austin Street, set up and serve breakfast. Call Lee Shore 214-675-1024 with any questions. We will bring breakfast for 400 men, women and children. We will receive all food donations on Saturday morning, January 28th from 9 am-noon in the HCUMC Kitchen.
Please bring:
12 Sandwiches (in sandwich bags)
12 Pieces of fruit
12 Boiled eggs in shell in carton
case bottles water/ juice box
Snack/granola bars
We will also collect plastic bags for the residents to carry their food because all residents must leave the shelter at 6:00 am.
The HCUMC Advocates for Peace and Justice will present Who Is Our Neighbor?: “It’s YOUR Texas Legislature” Sunday, January 29th, at 9:45am in the sanctuary. Featuring our own Skip Trimble, an attorney who has worked with the legislature for more than 25 years. Please plan to join us in learning how we can be more effective in making our voices heard by our state representatives. Time will be allowed for questions, all are welcome.
