Dear Church,

 

There will be a short, but important, Ad Council meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in the youth room (EB201-5). All Ad Council members are encouraged to attend.

The monthly LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship Together) meeting will be on Thursday, January 12 at 6:30 pm at the home of Marilyn Paa. Go to www.hcumc.org for more information. Bring a snack or covered dish to share. Enjoy food, fellowship and a short devotional. If you do not have time to prepare a dish, please come anyway for this time of fellowship!

Holy Covenant’s next Blood Drive will be Sunday, January 15th from 9 am to 1 pm in the Covenant Center. Please donate if you can.

–Who Is Our Neighbor? Series: “It’s YOUR Texas Legislature”

Sunday, January 29th, at 9:45am in the sanctuary. Presented by the HCUMC Advocates for Peace and Justice. Featuring our own Skip Trimble, an attorney who has worked with the legislature for more than 25 years. Please plan to join us in learning how we can be more effective in making our voices heard by our state representatives. Time will be allowed for questions, all are welcome.

  

 -Rev. Carol Sparks will begin a Disciple II study on Sunday, February 12 at 4 pm in Room 113. Please sign up in the narthex if you are interested. If Sundays at 4 is not a good time for you, please sign up anyway and note what day and time would be better for you.

-Holy Covenant will host a Chili/Soup Cook-Off and Talent Show on Saturday, February 25 beginning at 5 pm. Sign up in the narthex to enter your soup or chili in the competition! Let Rev. Debbie Chapman [email protected] know if you have a talent to share. Plan to participate and attend this fun evening with something for everyone!
