Dear Church,

Thank you to all who helped at the Church Work Day yesterday! The potluck lunch was delicious and your donation of time and elbow grease to care for our facility was truly inspiring.

Blessings!

Pastor Carol

Revolution: Uprising of Love sermon series

We consider what it means to bring about a revolution within our church so we can bring an uprising of love in the community. The series is called Revolution: Uprising of love. Each week we explore, in worship (8:30 & 11:00 am) and in small groups (9:45 am), what we believe is our responsibility within God’s creation as articulated in our United Methodist Social Principles.

Enneagram Workshop

Doug Scott, who holds masters degrees in both clinical social work and pastoral ministry from Boston College, will return to Holy Covenant UMC on Nov 5th 1-3pm for another workshop using the wisdom of the Enneagram. While Doug will be building on concepts from the previous workshop, this workshop is designed for first timers too. Those new to the Enneagram are invited and welcome and will be able to fully participate. However, it will be helpful to you if you know your number before the workshop.  If you have not discovered your number yet you can go to  www.9types.com where you can take a free test. There is also a test with more information that costs $12 at www.Enneagraminstitute.com. Doug will be discussing how understanding of the Enneagram and the dynamic of the Anchored Self/Floating Self can help us find Shalom, peace and wholeness, in our lives. Emphasis will be placed on the idea that embodying Shalom in our individual lives means accepting change, our brokenness, and our gifts with compassion, gratitude, and wisdom. You will walk away from this encounter knowing yourself in a new, more expansive way, because it will invite you towards transformation, not just give you information.
