Dear Church,

 

Holy Covenant will host a Parents’ Night Out on Friday, April 20 from 6 to 9 pm in the Covenant Center for ages Infant – 5th Grade. Reservations are required by Wednesday, April 18! Reserve a place for your child at PNO. You may drop off and pick up children anytime during the designated hours. $10 per child; $25 max per same family. 

 

For 2 more Sundays, the youth will be selling stock to finance their summer camp and mission trip. Be sure to stop by their table in the Education Building and show them your support.

“Who Is Our Neighbor?” Panel Discussion on Food Insecurity April 29

On April 29th during the Sunday School hour, Advocates for Justice and Peace and the Food Pantry will be presenting another program in the series, “Who Is Our Neighbor.” This program will be a panel discussion on Food Insecurity. Representatives from the North Texas Food Bank, the Metrocrest, Austin Street, and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD will be participating in the panel to discuss Food Insecurity in our community. Also, on April 29th, the Food Pantry will open its doors for an open house. We’ve recently completed some renovations and would love for everyone to come in and take a look around after the 8:30 and 11:00 services. There will be refreshments and opportunities to volunteer.

Feeding the Homeless at Austin Street – May 6th

Holy Covenant will provide breakfast at the Austin Street Shelter at 5:00 am on Sunday, May 6. We will provide breakfast for 400 men, women and children at the homeless shelter.

We are asking for the following donations:          

-12 sandwiches (individually bagged)

-12 pieces fruit

-12 boiled eggs in shell in carton

-Cases of bottled water/ juice boxes

-Snack/granola bars

We will receive all donations on Saturday, May 5th from 9 am to noon in the HCUMC kitchen. All are welcome to travel with us to Austin Street Sunday morning at 4:15 am from the HCUMC kitchen. We will drive to Austin Street, set up and serve breakfast. We will also collect retail plastic bags for the residents to carry their food because all residents must leave the shelter at 6:00 am. For more information, contact Rick Davis 972-814-5325.



Secure Shredding – Saturday, May 12th 

10:30 am to 2 pm

Holy Covenant parking lot

Sponsored by Holy Covenant’s Green Team. Open to the public. Protect your identity while supporting Holy Covenant. Watch your documents being shredded on site with the utmost security. $5 per copy paper sized box. Invite your friends and family to bring their sensitive documents to be shredded.
