What is Happening This Week
5/23- 5/27/2018

Dear Church,

The youth will hold a Valet Car Wash this Sunday, May 27 from 8:30 am to Noon. Leave your keys with an adult who will drive your car, the youth will wash it, and an adult will park it in the parking lot, all while you are in church. This will be a love offering fundraiser.

ECDP Summer Camp
June 11-14 and June 18-21
We still have room in our summer camp, Athletes & Actors! The camps will run Monday through Thursday, 9 am – 2 pm the weeks of June 11th & 18th. We welcome children ages 2 years old through beginning first graders. It’s a great time of play and exploration. We’ll spend the first week learning about the disciplines of being an athlete and of course practicing our own athletic skills. The second week will be dedicated to drama We will have a “talent show” at the end of the week where each class will perform a skit of their own creation. Since we only have one week to create these productions, they will be simple but FABULOUS! Registration fee is $15/week and tuition is $100/week. We’d love to have your family join us! Contact Beth McClure at [email protected] or 972-492-1371 to register.

Fan Drive
We will be collecting fans for Senior Citizens and others in need through June 24th. Please drop off your fans in the Narthex. We will transport the fans to Metrocrest Social Services who will distribute fans to those who need them. If you do not have time to go out and purchase a fan, we will be happy to do so for you. For $20 we can purchase a new box fan or an oscillating fan, so just note that your donation is for “Fans”

Vacation Bible School – Shipwrecked
July 8-12, from 5:30 – 8:30 pm
You can now sign up for this summer’s VBS online at VBS 2018. VBS is for children 3years old through 5th grade and nursery is provided for all volunteers. Preschoolers will only attend the opening ceremony and two activity rotations. They will then just have nursery time after that (we could even put them in jammies for you). Our fun theme this year is Shipwrecked.
We will also offer a resource for parents called “Parenting with Grace and Reason”. This class combines tested parenting advice and how understanding it can also deepen our understanding for what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. That class will be 7:15-8:15pm each night, so take advantage of that opportunity.

Sports Camp
July 16-19
Triumph Sports will host a Christian Rookie Sport Camp here at Holy Covenant for 4-7 year olds from 8:30-11:30am. Cost is $80 if you sign up before June 1st. You can register at Triumph. This will be our first year working with them but they have a wonderful and long history with many of our fellow North Texas UMCs.

Volunteers Needed!
Sack Summer Hunger
Saturdays, June 16 – August 11
We need delivery drivers and people to distribute food to families in our area. You don’t have to do every Saturday. This is a great opportunity to involve the whole family and show your children how they can help show God’s love to others. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex. Please help feed children this summer!

Ushers – 1 Sunday per month
