Dear Church,

 

The Holy Covenant preschool is offering an open house this week between 9 and 11 am. See us in action! Tour the preschool while your child enjoys Rainforest Week activities hosted by our PSO. Contact Beth McClure [email protected] to schedule a tour.

 

This Friday, January 26, Holy Covenant is hosting a Parents” Night Out from 6 to 9 pm in the Covenant Center for ages Infant – 5th Grade. Reservations are required by Wednesday, January 24! Reserve a place for your child at PNO. You may drop off and pick up children anytime during the designated hours. $10 per child; $25 max per same family.

Dinner Groups

Finding Peace in a World with Guns: Transforming Violence into Shalom

Sunday, February 11 at 9:45 am in the sanctuary, the Advocates for Justice & Peace invite you to join the discussion led by Rev. Andy Lewis, Director of the Center for Missional Outreach of the North Texas Conference.

 

Falling Upward

 We will have opportunities for people to come together to discuss the book Falling Upwards and what ministry for those in the second half of life (40 and up) could look like. The first meeting will be Thursday March 1 and the second will be Thursday March 22.  If someone would be interested in hosting our March 22nd gathering to please speak with Bill Mauldin [email protected].  Bill has a few copies of the book if you would like to buy one ($20).

Holy Covenant is scheduled to feed the homeless at Austin Street Shelter on Sunday, February 4 at 5 am. If you can donate, please drop-off the following on Saturday, February 3 between 9:00 a.m. and noon in the Covenant Center kitchen:

-12 sandwiches (of any type, individually wrapped)

-12 pieces of fruit

-12 hard-boiled eggs (still in the shell) 

Donations of juice packs or bottled water are also appreciated.
