What is Happening This Week 10/24 – 10/28/2018

Dear Church,

Thank you to everyone who attended Charge Conference last night! It is always a good chance to see where we have come in a year and where we intend to go in the future. Feel free to share the “New Faces/New Spaces” video presented by our District Superintendent, Rev. Debra Hobbs Mason.

This Sunday, October 28th, there will be an Enneagram Workshop from noon to 1:30 pm in the Covenant Center. We will focus on integrating spiritual practices with an understanding of the Enneagram and discuss how to use awareness of our number for personal and spiritual growth and transformation.

Sunday evening, October 28th, Holy Covenant will host a Trunk or Treat in our parking lot from 5 to 6:30 pm. We will line up and park on the north side of the parking lot between 4:30 and 5pm. We will use cars to block off the parking lot for safety and allow guests to park on the south part of the lot. The Herndons will provide a dinner of hot dogs and chips. We are asking that people give a little love offering to help cover some of the cost. We are also accepting donations of bags of individually-wrapped candy. There will be a prize for best decorated car!

Depressed Anonymous
Meets Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
The Colony Emergency Hospital
4780 Hwy 121, The Colony, TX 75056
Meetings are approximately one hour and are open to any person in the area who feels they suffer from depression and wish to find a way out of “the prison of depression”. We follow a 12 STEP program, similar to that of AA, and discuss materials relating to how one can contain or escape depression. The meetings are open-ended so a person may join at any time.
