What is Happening This Week
November 11th will be our Celebration Sunday when we each will commit to a pre-determined and intentional tithe, pledge to grow in our personal faith formation and cast a vote for a 2019 Ministry Focus. You should receive your Promise Card in the mail before then.
The Ladies In Fellowship Together (LIFT) will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, November 8 at 6:30 pm at the home of Cindy Baucom. Bring a snack or covered dish to share. Enjoy food, fellowship and a short devotional.
The team that went to Austin Street Shelter last Sunday wish to thank everyone who donated food. Austin Street reported that approximately 320 folks spent the night and were served breakfast. Sixteen people from Holy Covenant helped serve. Thanks to them and to all who donated food!

Laity Gathering with the Bishop
Saturday, December 1
10 am to Noon
Shipp Chapel, Lovers Lane UMC
9200 Inwood Rd.
Bishop Michael McKee invites all laity of the Metro District to a gathering related to General Conference 2019. This is an informational meeting designed to give participants an update on the issues. While there will be adequate time for a question-and-answer session, this is not a time for debate. In the way of Ephesians 4:3, we ask that you join us in “making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Meets Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
The Colony Emergency Hospital
4780 Hwy 121, The Colony, TX 75056
Meetings are approximately one hour and are open to any person in the area who feels they suffer from depression and wish to find a way out of “the prison of depression”. We follow a 12 STEP program, similar to that of AA, and discuss materials relating to how one can contain or escape depression. The meetings are open-ended so a person may join at any time.
