What is Happening This Week
9/12- 9/16/2018

Dear Church,

The Ladies in Fellowship Together (LIFT) will meet on Thursday, September 13 at 6:30 pm at the home of Erin Shepardson (4242 Arbor Creek Dr., Carrollton 75010). Bring a snack or covered dish to share. Enjoy food, fellowship and a short devotional.

ECDP has great teachers and great substitute teachers, and is always looking for more! If you have experience working with young children, a talent for managing chaos, and a lot of energy, ECDP will hold a Substitute Orientation & Training on Thursday, September 13th, starting at 9:15 am in Room 202. This meeting lasts a little over an hour. Director Beth McClure [email protected] will give you all the information you need for subbing in our preschool.

In recognition of Children’s Sabbath and our connection with Sheffield Elementary School through our SALT program, we are collecting new packages of socks and underwear for Elementary aged children at Sheffield. Please bring your donations by Sunday, October 14th and place them in the in the collection box under the stairs in the Education Building.

Blessings,
Pastor Carol

The McKinney-Vento Act is a federal program that provides a partial safety net for these children. On September 23rd the Advocates will present an educational opportunity for the church to learn this Act and how we can support homeless youth. This program will be during the Sunday School hour and will be in the sanctuary. Please come to learn.

Meets Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
The Colony Emergency Hospital
4780 Hwy 121, The Colony, TX 75056
Meetings are approximately one hour and are open to any person in the area who feels they suffer from depression and wish to find a way out of “the prison of depression”. We follow a 12 STEP program, similar to that of AA, and discuss materials relating to how one can contain or escape depression. The meetings are open-ended so a person may join at any time. Send questions to [email protected].
