Also, this Sunday we will begin this year’s confirmation. While this is mostly for youth who have not been confirmed yet, reaffirmation and recommitment are always good in the spiritual growth of young people, so any youth who would like to participate is welcome. We do ask that a parent, adult family member or care-giver attends the first two sessions. Confirmation will meet in the youth room at 8:30am.
I want to make sure everyone also understand the new format we are trying for youth Sunday school right now. Because the class was so small and several youths were going to patriciate in the Atria worship, it made having a class difficult. We decided to roll with it and make Atria part of the experience. We now have a rotating schedule for youth Sunday school.it looks like this:
1st Sunday of the month- Youth go to Atria (leave at 9:30am)
2nd Sunday of the month- Youth meet in youth room for discussion with Roy Evans
3rd Sunday of the month- Youth go to Atria (leave at 9:30am)
4th Sunday of the month- Youth meet for discussion with Pastor Carol in her office
5th Sunday of the month- youth attend 5th Sunday church activity
I know it is a little weird, but this is an attempt to make a functional program. The hope is to not have a class with on or two on a regular basis, especially while 3 or 4 are gone to Atria. This is an attempt to avoid creating cliques of those “chosen” and “not chosen” to go. If things change and the numbers attending go up, we may change up the plan from its current form.
We could use youth families to help provide the lunches for CKY. Many of the children’s families have covered so far this semester but few youth parents have signed up. If you could help provide the lunch one Sunday, please go to the Sign-up Genius page below.

We now have permission to do fundraising to help cover some of the cost. We will have Stock Sale April 8-29th. We will have a sign up soon for working the table and coming up and making calls. We will be working with SNAP again. I need to double check with them but I think they will come April 22nd to do video and all like last year. It will launch on April 29th and will go through May. More on that to come. I would like us to have a car wash during worship May 27th. More on that to come too.
If you want to go to Camp Bridgeport and you have not signed up yet, you really need to get that taken care of. Here are the weeks to attend and link to sign up.
