We will have the opportunity, through August 20th, to vote on the following statement to be given to Bishop Michael McKee and the cabinet on behalf of Holy Covenant:
We, the Holy Covenant community, commit to work corporately to remove all language in the Book of Discipline regarding exclusion of LGBTQ+ people. Therefore, we will host no weddings until the United Methodist Church affirms all marriages as equal.
Ballots will be available on Sunday, August 18. You may drop them in the offering plate, or place in the ballot box in the narthex. Ballots and box will also be available in the church office on Tuesday, August 20 between 10 am and 2 pm.

Dallas Responds Community Hub Now Open!
Dallas Responds Community Hub is offering Resources and Services to immigrants living in our community from 10am-2pm on August 17 and 24 at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church.
At the Community Hub, immigrants are provided with food, backpacks, school physicals, health screenings, clothing distribution (including school uniforms), legal resources, and children’s activities.
We will be evaluating the interest and response of our immigrant community to these resources through the month of August, so stayed tuned for further developments in the next few weeks!
