OUTSIDE WORSHIP – Continues at Holy Covenant Sunday, November 1 to observe All Saints Sunday.  
We meet at the cross on the east side of the building. We will email the bulletin to you Sunday morning. -Wear a mask! -Bring a chair or blanket! -Bring coffee or a snack! -Dress for the weather – casual and comfortable! Prepare to encounter God and celebrate our worship leaders! You are invited to distanced fellowship and safe gathering to worship with your church family!

This Week’s Highlights
brown bag Breakfast for Austin Street
Saturday, October 31
9 am to Noon
Holy Covenant is scheduled to again provide breakfast for the homeless at Austin Street Shelter.  If you are able to donate food, please prepare -24 sandwiches -12 pieces of fruit -12 hard-boiled eggs and deliver them to Holy Covenant on Saturday, October 31st, between 9 am and noon. Bottled water and juice boxes are also appreciated.  
Please drive around to the kitchen door where members of the Spiritual Journeymen will receive the donations from you. The food will be delivered Saturday afternoon and it will be served by the Austin Street staff on Sunday morning. Contact Rick Davis for more information 972-814-5325, [email protected].

Churchwide Meeting

We haven’t been able to meet as a church for some time, but the church is still a vital part of the community and you are still vital to Holy Covenant! We will meet virtually this Sunday to get an update on where we are at this time and to look forward to 2021. We will share information on our budget, our leadership and plans for the new year.

Food Pantry
At our Distribution last Sunday, we served 144 families or 552 individuals or 6,233 meals. Our next Distribution will be on November 8th. Please consider volunteering to pack bags on November 6th and 7th and to work the Distribution on the 8th. You may sign up on signupgenius.com or contact Lois Eaton at 214-862-8683 or [email protected].  
We have just a few more weeks to gather our special Thanksgiving meal bags to be given out at our distribution on November 22nd.
We are in need of:
Green Beans
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Stuffing – bread or cornbread
Soup – we still need lots of soup
Canned yams or sweet potatoes
Dog and cat food  
Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 am-noon to accept your donations.

Environmental Justice Panel Discussion
Sunday, November 15

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 15th at 9:00 a.m. for an informative and thought-provoking panel discussion on Environmental Justice. The Advocates for Justice and Peace at Holy Covenant are hosting a 60-minute panel discussion featuring four distinguished guests who are leaders and community advocates in the fight for Environmental Justice.   The panel will be moderated by Rev. Andrew Fiser, Associate Director of Missional Outreach for the North Texas UMC Conference.   A link to the Zoom presentation will be published in the weekly email the week before and will also be sent out in an email the morning of the presentation.

Would you like to help with our online worship? We are looking for volunteers for our worship streaming ministry. You will be asked to commit to 2 worship services per month to operate either a video switcher or a camera.    Experience welcome–but not required! There will be training. Are you and your family putting together jigsaw puzzles? Are you tired of doing the same ones? We have LOTS of new and gently used puzzles we would love to share with you! They are 500 piece and 1000 piece puzzles.
