Celebration of Love & Thanks for Pastor Carol
June 14
As we all are aware, Pastor Carol has been reappointed and will be leaving Holy Covenant the end of June. She has given us so much love, support, positive messages and laughter. Now it is time for us to show our appreciation and give some love back to her.   On June 14, 2020 from 5 – 6 PM, there will be a parade of Love and Thanks for Pastor Carol through the parking lot of Holy Covenant. Plan on decorating your cars, your bikes, your trucks and make some noise for Pastor Carol to let her know how much we care and will miss her.   For Further information call or text Sharon Gonzales at 972-849-1355.
-Your SPPR Committee!
Can’t attend the parade but want to participate? Here are a few ways for you to make your feelings known:

You can upload to our *Google Drive or contact Sharon Gonzales via text (972)849-1355 or email at [email protected].

Food Pantry
This past Sunday we successfully completed our 4th Drive-Through Food Distribution. In the month of May, we were able to serve 246 families or 1,028 individuals or 7,175 meals. Keep in mind that before our drive-throughs we served, on average, 35 families a month.   Of course serving that many families means that we need much more food than we normally need. We couldn’t have done this without the generous support of our congregation in donations of money and food. Still, we are having to purchase food retail in order to serve that many.   We are in need of the following food items: Tuna Large canned chicken Chili Pasta sauce 2 lb. bags of Rice Mac and Cheese   Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 to receive donations.   I’d like to give a special thanks to two people who have worked tirelessly for the Food Pantry. John Mays has been picking up all our orders of food, has been packing bags and boxes, and has been supervising during the Drive-Throughs. Mandie Long has helped John on all of the food pickups, has helped me unload and shelve food, has packed bags and boxes, accepted donations, and worked the Drive-Throughs. Without their help and the help of countless other volunteers, we would not be able to do the Drive-Throughs. So, thank you everyone.   Lois Eaton 214-862-8683 [email protected]
