Food Pantry
Our next Drive Through Food Distribution is September 13th. We served 122 families at the last Distribution. Our money has come from grants and the generosity of the congregation. If you would like to donate to the Food Pantry, you can do that online, send a check to the church, or drop off your donation in the church office. Be sure to note that the donation is for the Food Pantry.
We are in need of:
Large canned chicken
Pasta sauce
Dog and cat food

Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00-noon to accept your donations.

We look forward to serving our community with the help of the Holy Covenant congregation.

Elections 2020 Presentation
Thanks to all of you who attended Advocates for Justice and Peace presentation on Elections 2020.   I have to apologize that our League of Women Voters representative from Denton County was a no-show. If you have questions that did not get answered on Sunday, please send them to me, and I will do my best to get answers for you. [email protected]
In case you missed the presentation, here is a handout the League of Women Voters created with helpful information. Here is a list of helpful websites. Youth Director Sponsors Requested
You may have heard that we are excited to be interviewing for a Youth Director for Holy Covenant! We are hard at work on forecasting and budget planning for the months and years ahead. However, because of the tremendous interest in this ministry, a sponsorship campaign is underway to help cover the salary in the meantime.
Suggested monthly commitment amount: $50 or $100
Commitment start date: September 1, 2020
Length of commitment: 7 months minimum, through Q1 of 2021

Once forecasting and budgeting are complete in the coming weeks, we will communicate directly with the sponsors regarding any ongoing need beyond that time frame (if any).   If you would like to commit to a sponsorship, please contact Christine Perry at [email protected] or 817-239-3575.

A line item for the sponsorship has also been added to the donation page on our website.

Volunteers Needed
Would you like to help with our online worship? We are looking for volunteers for our worship streaming ministry. You will be asked to commit to 2 worship services per month to operate either a video switcher or a camera.    Experience welcome–but not required! There will be training. Please contact Tim Shepardson at [email protected] if you are interested.

Like Puzzles?
Are you and your family putting together jigsaw puzzles? Are you tired of doing the same ones? We have LOTS of new and gently used puzzles we would love to share with you! They are 500 piece and 1000 piece puzzles. We would be happy to drop one on your doorstep. We will even share photos for you to choose the one you want.  If you are interested, please contact Elise at [email protected]
