Methodism Class
As Holy Covenant kicks off fall programming in this liminal space, we are offering a wonderful opportunity to learn about our Methodist roots and reflecting during worship on how we live into the Methodist movement.

For three weeks beginning Monday, September 14, at 7:00 PM we will have a Zoom class with Rev. Dr. Jim Guest and Rob Evans teaching: 1. Methodist History – Why Methodist? 2. Methodist Theology – How Methodist? 3. Polity – The Marks of the UMC

Contact Pastor Cheryl [email protected] to be a part of this class.

During worship we will address the Methodist movement:
September 13 – Pillars of our Faith – Do no harm, Do good, Stay in love with God!
September 20 – Connectionalism – Our greatest UMC strength
September 27 – Methodist Heroes – those who have blessed the tradition   We hope you will join us for the class and worship each week!

Food Pantry
Our next Drive Through Food Distribution is September 13th. We served 122 families at the last Distribution.

If you would like to help out with packing boxes and bags, you can sign up in one hour slots on Friday, September 11th or Saturday, September 12th. It’s easiest if you sign up in groups of at least 2 or 3 people. If you want to work the Distribution on Sunday, September 13th, there are several positions you can sign up for. For any of these volunteer opportunities, please sign up on signupgenius.com or contact Lois Eaton at 214-862-8683 or [email protected].

We are in need of:
Large Canned Chicken
Pasta Sauce

Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 am-noon to accept your donations.

We look forward to serving our community with the help of the Holy Covenant congregation.
