Coming Soon Methodism Class As Holy Covenant kicks off fall programming in this liminal space, we are offering a wonderful opportunity to learn about our Methodist roots and reflecting during worship on how we live into the Methodist movement. For three weeks beginning Monday, September 14, at 7:00 PM we will have a Zoom class with Rev. Dr. Jim Guest and Rob Evans teaching: 1. Methodist History – Why Methodist? 2. Methodist Theology – How Methodist? 3. Polity – The Marks of the UMC Contact Pastor Cheryl [email protected] to be a part of this class. During worship we will address the Methodist movement: September 13 – Pillars of our Faith – Do no harm, Do good, Stay in love with God! September 20 – Connectionalism – Our greatest UMC strength September 27 – Methodist Heroes – those who have blessed the tradition We hope you will join us for the class and worship each week! Food Pantry Our next Drive Through Food Distribution is September 13th. We served 122 families at the last Distribution. If you would like to help out with packing boxes and bags, you can sign up in one hour slots on Friday, September 11th or Saturday, September 12th. It’s easiest if you sign up in groups of at least 2 or 3 people. If you want to work the Distribution on Sunday, September 13th, there are several positions you can sign up for. We are in need of: Large Canned Chicken Pasta Sauce Green Beans Instant Mashed Potatoes Dog and Cat Food Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 am-noon to accept your donations. Volunteers Needed Would you like to help with our online worship? We are looking for volunteers for our worship streaming ministry. You will be asked to commit to 2 worship services per month to operate either a video switcher or a camera. Experience welcome–but not required! There will be training.
