There are still many slots open for volunteers. If you would like to help out with packing boxes and bags, you can sign up in one-hour slots on Friday, September 25th or Saturday, September 26th. It’s easiest if you sign up in groups of at least 2 or 3 people. If you want to work the Distribution on Sunday, September 27th, there are several positions you can sign up for. Recently, thanks to our grant from Texas Methodist Foundation, we were able to purchase a dolly, two carts, six sets of shelves, pet food, diapers, and additional food. All of those things were needed for the Distribution and the organization leading up to it. We are in need of: Green Beans Instant Mashed Potatoes Soup Canned Yams or Sweet Potatoes Dog and Cat Food Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 am-noon to accept your donations. Protect your identity while supporting Holy Covenant. Watch your documents being shredded on site with the utmost security. $5 per copy paper sized box. COVID Precautions in place: safe distancing, never leave your car, we can unload from your trunk, masks worn, gloves worn, and sanitizer used. Food Deliverers Needed ![]() Holy Covenant has been contacted by Parkland’s Community Health Institute asking for drivers to deliver food from our Food Pantry to patients recovering from Covid-19. There will be no contact with the patients. Food will be left at their front doors. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the church office. If you would like to brighten someone’s day with a card, you may send it to: Dallas VA Medical Center 4500 South Lancaster Road Dallas, TX 75216-7167 Please send the card(s) to the attention of Veteran Affairs Voluntary Service and put #AARPSalutesVets on the envelope.
