Next Week’s Highlights
Our Methodism 101 Zoom class continues for another week! If you missed it last Monday, you can watch the recording here: https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/xE1bMi7BddR-n-JjLNXTj0NVj2s3hkjrYVuXu_e7wmr8HSHYKz-MoixUeNNSRlpn.X1JATS_8SVuZUfUX Passcode: !pwlB+4G
You don’t have to have attended a previous class to participate in the next one, though, as each class is a stand-alone topic. Join us as we learn about our Methodist roots and reflect during worship on how we live into the Methodist movement:

Our next Distribution is this Sunday, September 27th. There are still many slots open for volunteers. If you would like to help out with packing boxes and bags, you can sign up in one-hour slots on Friday, September 25th or Saturday, September 26th. It’s easiest if you sign up in groups of at least 2 or 3 people. If you want to work the Distribution on Sunday, September 27th, there are several positions you can sign up for.
For any of these volunteer opportunities, please sign up on signupgenius.com or contact Lois Eaton at 214-862-8683 or [email protected].
Recently, thanks to our grant from Texas Methodist Foundation, we were able to purchase a dolly, two carts, six sets of shelves, pet food, diapers, and additional food. All of those things were needed for the Distribution and the organization leading up to it.
We are in need of:
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Canned Yams or Sweet Potatoes
Dog and Cat Food
Someone will be at the church on Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 am-noon to accept your donations. Thank you, as always, for your support of the Food Pantry.

Food Deliverers Needed
Holy Covenant has been contacted by Parkland’s Community Health Institute asking for drivers to deliver food from our Food Pantry to patients recovering from Covid-19. There will be no contact with the patients. Food will be left at their front doors. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the church office. If you are available, please call Elise Odell at the church office 972-492-2432 or text or email Lois Eaton 214-862-8683 [email protected].

In honor of their founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, AARP along with Create the Good, is doing a national service project asking volunteers to make cards for isolated veterans, military families and healthcare workers. If you would like to brighten someone’s day with a card, you may send it to: Dallas VA Medical Center 4500 South Lancaster Road Dallas, TX 75216-7167
