What is Happening This Week 10/14-10/17/21

Join us to celebrate Laity Sunday!

Sunday will be a wonderful witness of the awesome laity at Holy Covenant. We will have several individuals at both services bringing us a deeper understanding of our Holy Covenant foundational scripture Micah 6:8.  We hope you will join us!

At 2:00 Sunday afternoon we will meet our new DS, Rev. Edlen Cowley and approve the vision we have set for 2022. Please join us in-person or by livestreaming. The meeting will last no more than an hour.

I look forward to spending most of Sunday with you!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl Murphy

-Recycle and conserve water
-Become a citizen naturalist – visit nwf.org for fun and educational projects
-Avoid rodeos or horse races

-Beware of animal-gifting hunger relief organizations
-Go Veg! Meatless Mondays (if you need any good vegetarian recipes, just ask!)
-Adopt, Don’t Shop!
-Spay or neuter your pet
-Ensure that your pets have tags and/or a microchip
-Support rescues and organizations working on these issues with top ratings from Guidestar, Animal Charity Evaluators, and Charity Watch
-Keep an eye on your Texas Rep or Senator’s voting record on animal-related bills (thln.org/voting_records)

Following Worship
Hello Holy Covenant Family! We’ve missed you! You know what else we’ve missed? The AUCTION! Like so many other things lately, we’ve found some modifications that will allow for an “Auction-Lite”.  Please join us for an outdoor meal prepared by our own Kammie Powell immediately following the 10:30 service on Sunday, November 7th. Following the All Saints celebration, we will gather for some good food, great company, and bidding fun! There will be no cost for the meal, but donations are appreciated.

The date is fast approaching and, as always, we count on you for donations to make our auction happen, so we’ve put together a list of items we can use to create amazing raffle baskets. If you are able to donate any of these items, please bring them to the church office before November 3rd. If you have other items you would like to donate, please contact Melissa Beard at [email protected].

Item Suggestions:
-Game Tickets
-Hotel Stays
-Gift cards
-Tablets
-Craft kits for kids (markers, clay, paints, etc.)
