Happy Easter Time!

We all survived Lent, hopefully there was spiritual growth in your life! We gathered during Holy Week to remember. We praised God and celebrated as we gathered both physically and spiritually together that the tomb was empty and Jesus had conquered death! Thank you to everyone who was part of this holy season!  May you feel blessed by the journey you walked and the ways you fasted and prayed!

This Sunday we are welcoming Holy Covenant’s founding pastor, Rev. Jack Soper, to join us for worship at 10:30 am sharing with us his insight and wisdom about Romans 8:28. You are invited to join us in person if you feel safe in doing so, or livestreaming on Facebook or on hcumc.org. We are thrilled that Jack is coming back home on his last Sunday in Texas before relocating to New England!

We will also be worshipping outside at 8:30 am with a reflection with Pastor Cheryl on the Road to Emmaus.

May you feel the joy and blessings of this Easter season surrounding you this week!

Shalom Blessings, Pastor Cheryl

Highlight Beyond Holy Covenant
For over 20 years, The United Methodist Church has had a growing, indigenous presence and witness in Honduras. Today, the United Methodist Mission in Honduras consists of 22 congregations, the Juan Wesley School and a host of other ministries that are serving faithfully in a very challenging time.

On April 26-29 from 6:30-8:00 p.m., the CMO and North Texas Board of Global Ministries invite you to take part in a virtual mission trip to Honduras. We hope that this virtual mission trip experience will help people already connected to the Mission deepen that relationship and offer our friends in Honduras some much-needed love and support. In addition, this virtual mission trip will be a great way to introduce new people to the Mission.

Each evening, participants will have the opportunity to share in a devotional led by leaders of the Honduran congregations and experience a cultural moment, which will provide a glimpse of the Honduran culture. Go on this virtual trip one evening or all four! Each session will have a unique focus:
Monday – Overview of the country and mission
Tuesday – Exploring church-to-church partnerships (including breakouts for NTC churches to connect via Zoom with their Honduras partner church)
Wednesday – Planning for UMVIM mission trips in 2022
Thursday – Juan Wesley School
