What is Happening This Week 7/29-8/1/21

                Holy Covenant Family and Friends,

What a hot week it has been! The summer heat has arrived! The 2020 Olympics is energizing and challenging! And the reality of a new school year is on the horizon bringing anxiety, excitement, challenges and now it appears, masks again. Among the many lessons we are learning about resilience and determination, we are also gaining a deepening understanding of what grace means in our community.

Most of us who have been eligible, have braved the stick of the needle once or twice to receive the COVID vaccination. However, our children have not had that opportunity yet. And everyone is so thankful, in this heat to take off the mask feeling safe. But it seems that might have been a bit premature. So you are invited to join us for worship on Sunday in the sanctuary for both the 8:30 & 10:30 services. We have a very small crowd at the early service and except on Communion or rainy Sundays we will be outside. We will continue to live stream the 10:30 services and all churchwide meetings. If you are more comfortable in a mask, you are welcome to wear one. If you are more comfortable watching from home, please continue to enjoy a cup of coffee while you worship.

We are all finding our own way in this odd pandemic season. We will continue to do all we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. We will strive together to be judgement free, offering grace to those who are finding a different path in this strange journey.

We hope you will continue to be a part of the HC ministries and worship services as you feel safe to do so.

This Sunday we will be sharing in the holy meal of the Lord’s Great Thanksgiving.  It will be a new and different nontraditional way. You will pick up the elements as you enter the sanctuary. We hope you will be grace-filled and glad to be a part of this holy service.

I look forward to greeting you on Sunday!
Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl
