What is Happening This Week 7/8-7/11/21
 Happy July! Hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! We enjoyed spending time with family at last! The Holy Covenant sanctuary building remains closed this week due to the HVAC installation. There have been unexpected delays but they should be up and cooling by worship on Sunday morning! We are grateful for the leadership of John Paul Mays and the Trustees oversight. Watch for new plantings to surround our sign on the corner! Be sure to welcome Heather Hinton, our new Preschool Director! We are thrilled she is officially on board. The teachers are working to prepare their classrooms for a new school year! Hope you will join us for worship on Sunday! We will be outside at 8:30. We will gather in the sanctuary and livestream at 10:30. Some of the classes are beginning to meet in their cool classrooms! The Food Pantry will be open from noon-1:00 pm. The Youth are having a pool party at the Davis’ house! Hope you will connect with us if you are in town! I look forward to greeting you on Sunday! In the event of rain, worship will move inside and children will be invited to the Covenant Center for supervised play.  10:30 am Sunday Morning Worship In-person and Livestreamed We hope you are joining us either in-person, or for online worship on Facebook Live. Pool Party at Rick & Vicki’s house Highlight This Week  Story Time & Play July 8 and 13 at 9:30 am Save the dates! Story time and playground fun with new ECDP Director, Heather Hinton. This will be a great time to meet Mrs. Hinton, play with your ECDP friends and bring a friend who might like to play with you at school!!  Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm. We accept donations on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10-12. Currently, we need: chili, hearty soups and canned vegetables. Thank you for always being there to support the Food Pantry with your donations, your time, and your prayers. Volunteers Still Needed!  Sack Summer Hunger Saturdays through July 31 Sign Up Now! We still need a few volunteers to help pick up food from Metrocrest as well as to deliver to families on 7/10, 7/17, 7/24 and 7/31. Breakfast for Austin Street Saturday, July 31st 9 am to Noon Holy Covenant Kitchen Holy Covenant is scheduled to again provide breakfast for the homeless at Austin Street Shelter. If you are able to donate food, please prepare 12 sandwiches, 12 pieces of fruit and 12 hard-boiled eggs and deliver them to Holy Covenant on Saturday, July 31st, between 9 am and noon. Bottled water and juice boxes are also appreciated. Please drive around to the kitchen door where members of the Spiritual Journeymen will receive the donations from you. If you would like to help serve the food at Austin Street on Sunday morning, August 1st, we will meet at the church at 6:00 am, load up and head there.
