What is Happening This Week 10/6-10/9/22

  Holy Covenant Family,

This week has been one of amazing joy and deep valleys of despair.

The preschool has been celebrating Texas Week with extra teachers, parents, and all types of four-legged visitors. The children had such a fun week! Today ended with pictures on a pony! A treasure for everyone!   Layered beneath that was the great sorrow of losing a toddler teacher at the preschool, Ms. Cheri Singer. We gathered with the children and their families for a simple celebration this afternoon. Ms. Singer will be so missed, but her beautiful spirit will continue to bless us.

On Sunday we will gather at 8:30 and 10:30 to reflect on God’s calling to be an engaged part of our neighborhood. You also have the opportunity to donate blood all morning in the Covenant Center. Giving the gift of life to those you will never meet.

I will look forward to greeting you there!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl

Wear Your Nametag!
Be sure to wear your nametag this Sunday to help our guests learn names. If you need a nametag, please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the nametag table.

wood-train-set.jpg Kids Corner
We are so excited about our new kids corner in the sanctuary. We have the kids corner so that if your little one is having trouble focusing or sitting still in church they can take a little break and play in the kids corner. Parents, take a breath, stay in your seat and focus on worship knowing that Laulie will be over there to manage.

Let’s make sure we are as respectful and caring as possible with this new space!
– kids corner is available after the children’s sermon
– no talking or whispering
– no fighting, wrestling or rough play
– sharing is caring
– when praying, kids must stop playing and pray along with us.
