What is Happening This Week 5/5-5/8/22
 Happy National Day of Prayer, This day has a long history in our country. It began as a part of the fall observance during the time of British rule in the New England Colonies as a call for prayer and thanksgiving. The day was moved to the spring by President Harry S. Truman in 1952 and named the National Day of Prayer. The day is honored and celebrated by many faiths. This year’s theme is: Exalt the Lord who has Established Us! Please create time today for prayer. Universal prayer for all nations & people. Prayer for peace. Prayer for our nation, military, leadership, people, and the blessing of diversity in our country. Prayer for our state, our community, our neighbors. Prayer to the Lord God that created and established all! Join us on Saturday evening at 6:00 pm with or without a pot of chili. I can’t wait to try the many wonderful chilis and soups that will be prepared for us! I will greet you there! Join us for worship on Sunday. We will be outside, bring a chair for the 8:30 am service. Join us at 10:30 am for worship in the sanctuary and livestreaming. We will celebrate the women in our lives and actively reflect on the lectionary passage Psalm 23. Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm. URGENT needs: large pasta sauce, hearty soups, large canned chicken, instant mashed potatoes, chili, cereal and dog/cat food. Coming Soon Youth Sunday Celebrating Our Seniors and Confirmands May 22 In Worship followed by Potluck Lunch We will celebrate our high school seniors and our Confirmation class in worship, followed by an all-church potluck lunch in the Covenant Center. We will also be collecting cards for our seniors and confirmands over the next few weeks–cards of encouragement and blessing. Please have all cards to Laulie by the May 22.  During the Month of May Choose Your Favorite Hymn Pick up a card from the basket and write down your favorite hymn(s). We will sing them during worship this summer.
