What is Happening This Week 8/11-8/14/22

Holy Covenant Family,

You have been wrapped in our prayers as this first week of school has begun! Can’t wait to hear about all the light y’all shined into the schools!

Hope you will pull out your Bible and join us for church at 10:30! We are presenting our Third Graders with Bibles! We will be sharing some Biblical history and reflecting on the meaning of this Living Book in our lives.  And as Mark Twain said, “It ain’t those parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand.”

Following worship, we will be doing some re-arranging of the sanctuary. If you are available for a few minutes, we would appreciate some extra help. The Food Pantry will be open to our neighbors for distribution as well.

At 9:15, we remind you we have children and youth Sunday school classes meeting, as well as four adult classes that would love you to join them!

I look forward to greeting you on Sunday!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl Murphy

Bring Your Own Bible Sunday

wood-train-set.jpg New Kids Corner
We are so excited about our new kids corner in the sanctuary. We have the kids corner so that if your little one is having trouble focusing or sitting still in church they can take a little break and play in the kids corner. Parents, take a breath, stay in your seat and focus on worship knowing that Laulie will be over there to manage. Let’s make sure we are as respectful and caring as possible with this new space!
– kids corner is available after the children’s sermon
– no talking or whispering
– no fighting, wrestling or rough play
– sharing is caring
– when praying, kids must stop playing and pray along with us.

Now Hiring
ECDP is looking for teachers to add to our staff!
We need two Toddler/2’s teachers who will be willing to plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play based lessons, attend the needs of the children, build relationships with the children and their families, and all other aspects of working in these classrooms. This teacher will also work with other passionate early childhood educators.

We also need a PE Teacher who will plan and implement developmentally appropriate gross motor lessons (including movement and dance) for each class ages 18 months – Kindergarten, build relationships with the children and their families, and work with other passionate early childhood educators. This teacher will work with the music teacher and director to put together a Christmas show and a Spring show.
