What is Happening This Week 8/18-8/21/22

Holy Covenant Family,

We are all feeling so hopeful about the cooler weather and anticipated rain! Maybe it will bless all our fields in the next few days!

This Sunday our Sunday School programs are in full swing beginning at 9:15.  Hope you will connect with a class and bring your children!

Worship will continue at 10:30. This week we will bless the preschool year ahead, praise with the Praise Team and reflect on the lectionary reading from the Gospel of Luke 13:10-17. I wonder what bondage you need to be released from this Sabbath Sunday…..

I will look forward to greeting you on Sunday!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl Murphy

Highlight This Week
Acolyte Training
Sunday, August 21
11:30am – 11:45am in the sanctuary
Would your child like to be an acolyte? We will be hosting an Acolyte training and info session after church on Sunday August 21st. The training will be brief (about 15 min) so as to just talk about what acolytes do and gauge interest! All 3rd-5th graders are invited!

wood-train-set.jpg New Kids Corner
We are so excited about our new kids corner in the sanctuary. We have the kids corner so that if your little one is having trouble focusing or sitting still in church they can take a little break and play in the kids corner. Parents, take a breath, stay in your seat and focus on worship knowing that Laulie will be over there to manage.
Let’s make sure we are as respectful and caring as possible with this new space! – kids corner is available after the children’s sermon
– no talking or whispering
– no fighting, wrestling or rough play
– sharing is caring
– when praying, kids must stop playing and pray along with us.

Wear Your Nametag!
Be sure to wear your nametag this Sunday to help our guests learn names. If you need a nametag, please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the nametag table.
