Holy Covenant Family! ~Lots of reasons to come to church on Sunday at 10:30~ We will be blessing backpacks, students, teachers, & administrators. Your Lord is requesting your presence at His Table for a Holy meal! The communion offering will be going to Sunday School Supplies for the fall! We will be greeting one another after a long summer break. The Wesleyan Choir will be blessing us with awesome music! And I will be sharing a picture or two of Ephesus and weaving it into a sermon about walking as children of the LIGHT! Following worship we will join together in the Covenant Center for a Taco Lunch! I am very excited about greeting you! Hope you will be part of this special Sunday! Highlight This Week Back to School Sunday August 7 Backpack Blessing during worship Potluck Taco Bar after worship We will be blessing backpacks, students, teachers, etc. and share a taco bar lunch following worship. If you can bring items for the taco bar, please sign up HERE. Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm. URGENT needs: hearty soups, chili, cereal, large pasta sauce, instant mashed potatoes, cookies and dog/cat food. Donations may be delivered Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00-noon. In addition to that, we accept donations on Sundays before and after both worship services. There will be carts outside the Pantry for your donations. The Missions Team thanks you for always being there to support the Food Pantry with your donations, your time, and your prayers. Highlight Next Week Bring Your Bible Sunday August 14 Bring your bible to church to celebrate with our 3rd graders who will receive bibles during worship. If your child is in 3rd grade for the 2022-2023 school year please plan to be there! Now Hiring ECDP is looking for teachers to add to our staff! We need two Toddler/2’s teachers who will be willing to plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play based lessons, attend the needs of the children, build relationships with the children and their families, and all other aspects of working in these classrooms. This teacher will also work with other passionate early childhood educators. We also need a PE Teacher who will plan and implement developmentally appropriate gross motor lessons (including movement and dance) for each class ages 18 months – Kindergarten, build relationships with the children and their families, and work with other passionate early childhood educators. This teacher will work with the music teacher and director to put together a Christmas show and a Spring show. Please contact Heather Hinton [email protected] for more information. Coming Soon Acolyte Training August 21 • 11:30am – 11:45am Would your child like to be an acolyte? We will be hosting an Acolyte training and info session after church on Sunday August 21st. The training will be brief (about 15 min) so as to just talk about what acolytes do and gauge interest! All 3rd-5th graders are invited!
