 Beloved Community! The Pumpkin Patch is still going, so please pop by anytime to socialize and buy another pumpkin! We have another weekend of fun planned in the patch! Friday night join us for Movie Night/Game Night with Hocus Pocus and hotdogs! Then Saturday Cinderella is returning – She would love to see y’all! Don’t forget to join us for Paws in the Patch and get your pets blessed at 4pm! This week is our conclusion to the God on Broadway series. We are in for a treat with the choir and bells joining together to celebrate the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Hope you will join us for Sunday School and worship! On November 5, we will be remembering the saints we have lost this past year. Dinner will be hot dogs and it’s all provided! Donations toward dinner expenses (utensils, beverages, etc.) are appreciated.  Austin Street Food Collection Saturday, October 28 9 am to Noon Holy Covenant Kitchen Holy Covenant is scheduled to again provide breakfast for the homeless at Austin Street Shelter. If you are able to donate food, please prepare 12 sandwiches, 12 pieces of fruit and 12 hard-boiled eggs and deliver them to Holy Covenant on Saturday, October 28th, between 9 am and noon. Bottled water and juice boxes are also appreciated. Please drive around to the kitchen door where members of the Spiritual Journey Class will receive the donations from you. Austin Street has raised the total number of beds from 400 to 500 this year so the need for food has increased. Please contact Rick Davis (972-814-5325 [email protected]) with any questions. Costume Contest and Candy Tuesday, October 31 5-7:30 pm We’re saying Good-bye to the Pumpkin Patch with some Halloween fun for all ages. Be sure to wear your costume!  Costume Parade Tuesday, October 31 9:15 am You are invited to the cutest costume parade with our preschool!  Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm We currently need: soups, pasta, peanut butter and dry pet food. For our Thanksgiving bags, we need: Instant mashed potatoes, yams, cream of mushroom soup, stuffing mix, canned fried onions, turkey gravy, pie filling and refrigerated pie crusts. Donations may be dropped off Tuesdays through Thursdays between 10:00 am and noon. In addition to that, we accept donations on Sundays before and after worship. There will be carts outside the Pantry for your donations. The Missions Team thanks you for always being there to support the Food Pantry with your donations, your time, and your prayers.  All Saints Sunday, November 5 If you lost a loved one this past year, please send their name, relation and a photo to Elise [email protected] so we can include them in our remembrance during worship.  Highlight Next Week Annual Lunch & Auction Sunday, November 5 11:30 am following worship in the Covenant Center Please join us for a meal prepared by our own Kammie Powell immediately following the 10:30 service on Sunday, November 5th. We will gather for some good food, great company, and bidding fun! The date is fast approaching and, as always, we count on you for donations to make our auction happen. We need items like gift baskets, gift cards, game tickets, etc. If you have other items you would like to donate, please contact Melissa Beard at [email protected].  Clothes Closet Needs We need the following for the HCUMC Community Clothes Closet: -Men’s clothes (all sizes) -Larger sized adult clothing (XL and up) -Children’s clothes (especially toddler) -Shoes (all sizes, specifically work shoes, heavy duty shoes) -New underwear (all sizes, adults and kids) -New socks (all sizes, adults and kids) -Mini shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, lotion -Hangers Please bring clothes to the church office Tuesday – Thursday between 10 am and 2 pm or Sunday mornings.  Holy Covenant is Having a Birthday Celebration! 2024 will be Holy Covenant’s 50th anniversary and we will celebrate April 13-14, 2024. We invite you to celebrate your church when you celebrate your birthday. Whenever your birthday falls, consider making a gift to HCUMC.
