What is Happening This Week 11/9-11/12/23

Subject: What is Happening at Holy Covenant This Week
![]() Hello all! We are so excited about the upcoming Laity Sunday! We read in the book of 1 Peter that we as the Body of Christ are called to “Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. To God belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” We all have the love of God within us. We all have gifts to share. We all have the call to serve and care for God’s people. I thank God for each and every one of your gifts, love, and strength to serve others. It is because of who you are that we are this church, a church that everyone can call home. When you become members of the United Methodist Church, you commit to serving the church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness. You all do all of this in abundance. We could not do what we do without each and every one of you. Join us this Sunday as we celebrate your commitment to prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness, and your membership in this Body of Christ. Whether you have been coming for 50 years or you started coming last week, we celebrate who you are as beloved children of God. See you Sunday!
