What is Happening This Week 2/23-2/26/23

Beloved Family,

Our Lenten journey has begun. We had a wonderful pancake dinner last evening in the Covenant Center! Thank you Laulie and the team of wonderful cooks! We gathered in the sanctuary for a sacred prayer service receiving ashes that remind us that we were created out of dust and our physical body will return to dust. We are in a season of repentance and walking with Jesus to the cross.

This Sunday we will gather for our Lenten Sunday School Classes. The book we are studying is: Witness at the Cross by Amy-Jill Levine. Please read Chapter 1. We have a few books in the Narthex and it is available on Kindle. If you cannot attend Sunday morning, you are welcome to join Laulie on Monday evening at 7:00 PM for a discussion on Chapter 1. This is the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83150937773?pwd=cjVyRTZkTVduc2JDbzhZNEIreldUQT09

During worship we will be walking with our Creator through the beautiful Garden of Eden.

Following worship there will be a Leadership Summit working lunch. If you have interest in any of the following areas of ministry – please join us:

Outwardly focusing:
Welcoming Committee – greeting our guests
Mission & Outreach – connecting with our neighbors

Inward – HC family focusing:

I am looking forward to greeting you on Sunday!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl
