What is Happening This Week 5/25-5/28/23

Beloved Community,

Sunday is Pentecost!

A celebration of the Holy Spirit arriving with the disciples!  The arrival does not gently flutter in, but comes in a wild wind and dancing flames.  We hope you  will join us for worship!

Be sure to wear RED!

As we end the school year and May, there are many things to do at Holy Covenant beginning next weekend. Please sign up to deliver Sack Summer Hunger boxes to our neighborhood kids beginning Saturday morning, June 3. And plan on being a part of VBS beginning the evening of Sunday June 4.

I am looking forward to greeting you on Sunday!

Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl

HCUMC will be participating in the Sack Summer Hunger Program again this summer. Sack Summer Hunger provides nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals to families with school-aged children who depend on free and reduced lunch programs throughout the school year. Meals are delivered every Saturday free of charge. This program is designed by Metrocrest Services who, in conjunction with area churches, supports local families in our community.

The program begins June 3rd and lasts through July 29th. We need volunteers to pick up food from Metrocrest, sorters at Holy Covenant to arrange the food for delivery, drivers to deliver to the families and someone to return any leftover food to Metrocrest. The commitment is no more than 2 hours (between 8 am and noon) on Saturday morning. If you have questions, email Laulie Eckeberger at [email protected].  Sign up HERE!
