What is Happening This Week 8/24-8/27/23
 Beloved Community, The church building is hopping this week! We have 65 preschool & kindergarteners in the building! Lots of laughter, fun and a few tears (children, parents & teachers!). There are always some humorous moments, check in with Heather and Helma for the details, but we are thrilled to have so many children filling our building during the week! This weekend you are invited to Holy Covenant for potluck dinner at game night on Friday evening at 6:00 PM. And we have a wonderful concert on Saturday evening at 7:00 PM. I look forward to seeing you there! On Sunday, our Sunday School classes will be meeting at 9:15. During worship we will embrace our connection with the Holy One. Brother Lawrence wrote: “If I were a preacher, I would preach nothing but practicing the presence of God.” So this Sunday, I am preaching the presence of God. I look forward to greeting you! FREE Concert Under the Spanish Sun with Love Saturday, August 26 7 pm HCUMC sanctuary Classical Guitarist Alejandro Montiel will Join Luis Rodriguez, Alma Alvarez and Astrid Morales for a magical night of Spanish songs. Songs include music by Manuel DeFalla, Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco and many more! Join us for an evening full of love, fun and music! The concert is free, but a love offering supporting HCUMC Music Ministries will be collected. You can give in advance HERE.  Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm We currently need: soups, canned chicken, peanut butter, pasta sauce and dry pet food. Donations may be delivered Tuesdays through Thursdays between 10:00 am and noon. In addition to that, we accept donations on Sundays before and after both worship. There will be carts outside the Pantry for your donations. The Missions Team thanks you for always being there to support the Food Pantry with your donations, your time, and your prayers. The Enneagram is a 9-sided study of personality traits, how people interpret the world, and how people relate to the world. Holy Covenant is Having a Birthday Celebration! 2024 will be Holy Covenant’s 50th anniversary and we will celebrate April 13-14, 2024. We invite you to celebrate your church when you celebrate your birthday. Whenever your birthday falls, consider making a gift to HCUMC.
