Beloved Community, Sunday will be a fun busy day at Holy Covenant. You are invited to participate in many ways! First, if you are a blood donor, please sign up with Carter Blood to give the gift of life. They will be in our parking lot from 9:30 – 12:30. Second, we have wonderful Sunday School opportunities for all ages!!!! Come join a class and grow in your faith! Third, at 10:30 we will gather in the sanctuary for worship. This week we will be taking a personal journey through the Beatitudes. As you read Matthew 5:1-12 in preparation, what is Jesus saying to you? And finally, you are invited to join your beloved family for a potluck lunch! Hope you will join us with something to share, and a chance to visit with people you know well and some new friends! Clothes Closet Needs We need the following for the HCUMC Community Clothes Closet: -Professional clothes (all sizes) -Work clothes (all sizes) -Larger sized adult clothing (XL and up) -Children’s clothes (elementary, preschool, toddler, baby) -Shoes (all sizes, specifically work shoes, heavy duty shoes) -New underwear (all sizes, adults and kids) -New socks (all sizes, adults and kids) -Mini shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, lotion Please bring clothes to the church office Tuesday – Thursday between 10 am and 2 pm or on Sunday mornings. Hangers Needed Our Community Clothes Closet currently needs hangers. Please drop them by the church office if you have some to donate. Sign Up NOW! Pumpkin Patch October 14-31 11:30 am to 7:30 pm HCUMC is hosting a pumpkin patch this year! The pumpkin patch will support the church, have a positive impact on the community, and will be a fun way to get involved! We cannot do it without you! Please sign up HERE for a 2 hour volunteer slot! Coming Soon Talent Show Saturday, September 30 7 pm HCUMC sanctuary HCUMC Music Ministries will present a talent show! The ensemble Encore Brass–featuring our own Efrain Sain will perform during the first half. The show is free, but a love offering supporting HCUMC Music Ministries will be collected. You can give in advance HERE. Food Pantry Pantry Hours: Tuesday-Thursday from 10-2 2nd and 4th Sundays from 12-1 pm We currently need: soups, peanut butter, pasta sauce, mac & cheese, and dry pet food. Donations may be delivered Tuesdays through Thursdays between 10:00 am and noon. In addition to that, we accept donations on Sundays before and after worship. There will be carts outside the Pantry for your donations. The Missions Team thanks you for always being there to support the Food Pantry with your donations, your time, and your prayers. Holy Covenant is Having a Birthday Celebration! 2024 will be Holy Covenant’s 50th anniversary and we will celebrate April 13-14, 2024. We invite you to celebrate your church when you celebrate your birthday. Whenever your birthday falls, consider making a gift to HCUMC. Just mark your gift “Birthday Offering” and put it in the offering plate on Sunday or give ONLINE.
