What is Happening This Week 9/28-10/1/23

Beloved Community,

We have wonderful opportunities for you to connect with your church family this weekend!

Saturday evening at 7:00 we will have a wonderful concert. The first half will be Encore Brass, a brass quintet that will include our own Efrain Sain! The second half will be a talent show with our very own church family!  This will be our final summer concert. Hope you will support the music ministry and join us for this very special evening.

On Sunday, October 1 (can you believe it?) morning we will gather for Sunday School and World Communion Worship. There will be several languages sung and spoken. Communion will be bilingual with Jeff Murphy speaking Spanish. Both the bells and choir will be participating in this very special global worship!

We won’t be complete without you, so please plan on attending!

I look forward to greeting you on Saturday and Sunday!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl Murphy

Sundays, October 1st and 15th or Wednesdays, October 4th and 18th

Do you feel like you are living your best life and growing into who you are meant to be? Come and geek out with us in the Courage Over Comfort Group as we learn with some of the leading experts in brain modification and habit formation, mindfulness and meditation, simplification and clarification, and bravery through vulnerability and whole-hearted living.  Join a supportive group of your church family as we encourage each other to grow, live our best lives, and be the change we wish to see in this world.

Courage Over Comfort will meet on the first and third weeks of October to explore Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead. You will have 2 opportunities to join in on the conversation: lunch after church on Sundays, October 1st (12:30) and October 15th (11:30) in Room 211, or Wednesdays, October 4th and October 18th at 7:00 pm at Melissa Beard’s home. If finances are an issue, a copy of Daring Greatly can be provided in the media format of your preference.
