What is Happening This Week 2/29-3/3/24

Beloved Community,

Happy Leap Year!

As y’all know leap year is necessary because the Earth’s orbit around the sun takes approximately 365.2425 days, not an exact 365 days. Adding an extra day every four years helps synchronize our calendar with the solar year. The concept of leap years dates to the time of Julius Caesar. He introduced it in his Julian calendar in 45 BCE.

Hope you are going to do something fun and special today!

Please join us on Sunday for our third Sunday in Lent. We will gather at the Lord’s table to feast on bread and wine, you are invited by name by Jesus, the host, and will be missed if you are not here with us! We have wonderful music with our bell ringers and guest musicians playing throughout the worship service. We will continue to be challenged by our Lenten journey of praying, fasting and thriving. This week we will reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 7, “do not judge.” Sunday school will begin at 9:15 – hope you will join a class!

I look forward to greeting you on Sunday!

Shalom Blessings,
Pastor Cheryl Murphy
