Finance Update

Finance Update – The finance committee met on Tuesday, July 18th, where a lot of Holy Covenant business was discussed.  In our continuing efforts to increase transparency, we are providing the following updates. Run the Race – Retire the Debt Campaign – We continue to receive a few more pledge cards from people committing to retire our debt.   As of June 30, 2017, the total debt outstanding for HCUMC was $116,314.26, and we have paid $27,380 in principal reduction since January.  After tallying the pledge cards from the Run the Race campaign, around $64,000 has been pledged to further reduce the debt.  The pledges represent commitments from 43 households, and represent over 55% of the current outstanding principal balance.  We also continue to receive payments from people who did not complete a pledge card.  Please see item 4 for additional information on our mortgage and a much-needed capital improvement.  It … Read More

  holy covenant united methodist church What is Happening This Week 7/24 – 7/30/2017   Dear Church,   Holy Covenant is accepting food donations for Austin Street Shelter this Saturday, July 29 from 9 am to noon in the HCUMC kitchen. Please bring:  12 sandwiches(In Sandwich Baggies) 12 pieces fruit 12 boiled eggs in shell in carton case bottles water/ juice box snack/granola bars All are welcome to travel with us to Austin Street Sunday Morning at 4:15 am from the HCUMC Kitchen.  We will drive to Austin Street, set up and serve breakfast. Please keep them in your prayers.  This Friday, July 14, Holy Covenant will host a Parents’ Night Out from 6 to 9 pm in the Covenant Center for ages Infant – 5th Grade. Reservations are required by Wednesday, July 12! Reserve a place for your child at www.hcumc.org. We welcomed our Confirmand Reagan Reasonover as a new professing member and made commitments to the future of Holy Covenant with Run the Race/Retire the Debt pledges. If you didn’t get a chance to turn in your pledge, you may bring your card next Sunday, mail it in or go to Run the Race and type “Run the Race” under “Other Donations”. We still need volunteers for the Sack Summer Hunger program including delivery drivers and some people to help pick up the produce/dairy products at Metrocrest. You don’t have to do every Saturday.
